Out of Stock

Sprung guide assembly with braid plates

The Sport + range of spares provides everything you need to fine tune a Scalextric car to get the maximum performance from it on the track.

Sprung, round guide blade. For use as an upgrade or replacement part on cars fitted with the normal round guide blade system. The addition of a spring allows the guide blade to stay in contact with the track rail to help supply a constant electrical feed and thus keep the motor at the control of your finger-tips.

Not suitable for use with C7041 Pit Lane Game.

History of Guides & Braids:

In the past years many guide blades and braid parts have come and gone. In fact, there are about 30 different types recorded since 1957! Guide blades and braid evolve for performance, cost and regulatory reasons. So, it's seldom possible to have just one guide blade.

Since 2007 the Scalextric range of cars generally use what is known as the 'Black Round Guide Blade'. This is a guide blade with holds a detachable round braid plate. This can be found in the spares range under reference C8329. The pack contains one guide blade, a screw to hold the blade on to the chassis and four braid plates. This guide assembly is not used for Drift cars, Motorbikes, Challenger, and all other cars pre 2004.

Note 1: This is only a guide. Use the Service Sheets Service Sheets for accurate reference. Many cars were adapted from one guide blade to another.

Note 2: Blue short stem guide blades are now replaced with black short stem guide blades.
